Dean Ross and I hosted a dinner on campus for the four most recent transfer students to Colgate. We were joined by twelve current students who had previously transferred to Colgate. The 18 of us sat around the dining room table in Merrill House and the Sodexho staff, Colgate’s food service company, prepared a wonderful meal. It was great to hear the words of advice the upper class students had for the newest members of the Colgate family. They talked about their favorite professors, off-campus study experiences, internships, and activities. The theme of the evening was that Colgate truly is a welcoming environment.
