Ho Tung Visualization Lab

By Lisa Belgam on November 18, 2010

Geoff Guenther is a senior intern in the Office of Admission, and he shared the following post with me:
A couple of weekends ago was Family Weekend, which meant that Colgate’s campus and the village of Hamilton were full of parents, grandparents, and siblings. There were all sorts of events to introduce families to the Colgate experience, and some of the best-attended events occurred in the Ho Tung Visualization Lab. The vis lab (as us students like to call it) has a massive dome-shaped screen. To watch it, you lie back in really comfortable seats. Astronomy classes use the vis lab to look at constellations and planets, but there are also a wide variety of films and events that go on there. Check out the vis lab schedule here.
