Race to the finish

By Leslie Zulch on August 25, 2011

Last weekend I spent some time doing something I had never done before. I stood on the sidelines and cheered on the runners competing in a locally sponsored half marathon! Stationed at the eight mile marker, I was in the best place to witness the strength and conviction of the athletes who had come so far, yet still had more than a couple of miles to run in order to complete the race. I was especially excited to see my colleague Katryna and her husband Paul running in my direction! Clearly, they were both well trained and in good spirits as they blew past the eight mile marker. Oh, by the way, Katryna somehow found the time to run the race the day before she left on her admission trip to Asia!
