Happy Colgate Day

By Sarah Chandler '16 on September 13, 2013

image       Friday the thirteenth is usually considered to be an unlucky day. But not at Colgate! In fact, we’ve kind of self-proclaimed every such day International Colgate Day. It’s a day to celebrate our connection to Colgate and today was no different…students, faculty, and staff went all out! Walking to class, most people I saw were sporting Colgate gear and friends were wishing each other a happy Colgate Day. There were some giveaways at Frank, our main dining hall, a barbecue open to all students, free Raider Passion ice cream in the COOP, and tons of school spirit! Our all male singing group, the Colgate Thirteen, also sang the national anthem at the Red Soxs-Yankee game and some Colgate alumni were even on Good Morning America (check it out here: http://news.colgate.edu/2013/09/todays-colgateday-celebrations-range-from-times-square-to-trento-italy.html) ! Definitely feeling the Colgate love and spirit today
