SRS students cook Mediterranean food to prepare for trip to Jerusalem

By Monica Murphy '16 on September 24, 2013

Students in the Jerusalem: City of Gods Sophomore Residential Seminar class cooked a Mediterranean dinner tonight with Professor Lesleigh Cushing in order to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. In accordance with Sukkot traditions the students ate their meal in a sukkah they constructed in Professor Cushing’s backyard. The members of Professor Cushing’s class are attempting to familiarize themselves with Mediterranean flavors in preparation for their upcoming trip to Jerusalem. The class will travel to the city in mid-January as a part of the Sophomore Residential Seminar program.
