The Network raises awareness for domestic violence

By Melanie Silverman '16 on October 29, 2013

Students advocated for The Network during lunch at the O’Connor Campus Center (The Coop).  The Network is an organization through the COVE (Center for Outreach, Volunteerism, and Education) that raises awareness for domestic violence and sexual assault.  The Network works closely with the Victims of Violence program in Oneida, NY, a neighboring town of Hamilton, NY.  The members of the Network gave out the purple bracelets for free to raise awareness for domestic violence and as a tribute to Alexandra Kogut’s memorial service, a girl who was tragically killed by her boyfriend last year at a nearby college.  You’ll see many of the COVE programs and groups promoting fundraisers and events every day in the Coop or in Frank Dining Hall.
