Colgate honors Martin Luther King

By Sarah Chandler '16 on January 20, 2014

In celebration of Martin Luther King Day, Colgate is holding events all week to honor his memory and mission. I attended the opening ceremony today which included a speaker from the National Abolitionist Hall of Fame, a performance by two acappella groups, and a reading of Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech by Poetically Minded (pictured above) and keynote speaker senior Marshall Scott. The ceremony was a wonderful way to celebrate such an amazing man and his mission and set the tone for a week of remembrance and discussion.
